How Do I Enjoy a Beautiful Day? (part 3)

Updated: Aug 25, 2019

Well, I guess this is goodbye…

Goodbye to the past, to the cold months of winter that brought rain, bleakness, and gloomy days! We leave them behind for these new heart-warmingly hours that are ever so enjoyable :) I was on one of my bike rides today, and I was so overwhelmed by the enjoyment of spring and this regenerating time.

It’s amazing how much a short bike ride can help you understand about life, through the parallelism that it draws with nature. Just like a dark and cold winter passes, it is replaced with the new beginning of “spring-full” life. You can either choose to sit down and dwell on how hard the winter was, or you can get up and go on a soothingly beautiful bike ride.

Sunny and beautiful days are not the only things that spring brings; people seem like they are all wearing a newly ‘sewn’ smile on their faces. Life and happiness are the two vital elements of life that characterise this new season. The air gets warmer, more enjoyable for the lungs, almost like it’s filling them with joy rather than oxygen. You feel like you’re floating, you want to run around and take in every beautiful small detail in nature.

Until now, I know I’ve made winter sound so harsh and terrible, and the truth is that it can actually be very enjoyable and memorable. You can gather with your loved ones, drink hot chocolate by a fire, and listen to carols while the beautiful snow falls outside. But, however much you can enjoy everything, factually speaking, life slows down (or dies) in winter and is renewed again in spring. This is the point that I’m trying to make; winter can be a very positively memorable period in our life, but it is a time where life hides from the cold and colours disappear from sight. That’s why I’m making it a point saying that spring is like a period in your life where you have passed a difficult time and you’ve renewed again.

Enjoy the sunrise, the blooming flowers, the buzzing of the bees, birds chirping ever so beautifully, the mesmerising sundown, the unwittingly busy nights… DO NOT forge yourself in the cold of the winter, but rather fill your spirit with the weightless, yet filling, joy and motivation of spring renewal.

‘Till next time…
